Analyte Projects Ltd. is committed to upholding best practices for the handling of personal information and private data. We are a Canadian corporation operating under Canadian laws applicable federally and within the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia as may apply. We further make every effort to comply with international regulations including the GDPR regulations for citizens of the EU. This policy outlines our approach and compliance.
We collect, use and disclose personal information in our service engagements which may include but are not limited to business consulting, templates and resources provided to subscribed clients, content and updates provided to subscribed clients. It may, depending on the experience, also be necessary to disclose certain personal information to our service providers for the purpose of providing our services. We take our responsibility to protect this personal information seriously. This policy outlines our approach to the collection, use, storage, handling, disclosure, protection of, and risks around personal information.

Definitions
You/Your - refers to the client and individual subject to this privacy policy
We/Our - refers to Analyte Projects Ltd including any and all obligations
Client - an identifiable individual who has completed an online registration for one or more services
Services - refers to delivery of business consulting, templates and resources, and content and updates provided to subscribed clients
Squarespace - refers to the platform Analyte Projects Ltd uses to deliver templates, and resources or updates provided to subscribed clients.
Substack - refers to the platform Analyte Projects Ltd uses to deliver content provided to subscribed clients.
Typeform - refers to the platform Analyte Projects Ltd uses to administer surveys, questionnaires and collect insights from subscribed clients. .
Personal Information - means information about an identifiable individual. For example, your name, your billing address, your birthdate.
Contact Information - means information that allows Analyte Projects Ltd to contact an identifiable individual. This may or may not be considered personal information. For example, your email address.
Payment Information - means information collected in support of a successful purchase transaction including but not limited to, credit card details such as card number, name on card, expiry and security details and card type. Payment processing may also require details such as billing address or postal code. These details may or may not be considered personal information.
Payment Processor - means Stripe. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.
Policy
1. What information do we collect and what do we do with it?
When you subscribe to services provided by Analyte Projects Ltd. we collect basic personal information required to identify you and differentiate you from other Clients. This includes your name and email address.
The collection of this information serves the following purposes:
Client identity
Access to templates, resources and content
Service interactions
Tracking of service preferences and interests
Delivery of personalized services
Collection and processing of payments
Business transaction records required by law
We collect and store your information securely in our content platform Substack and/or Squarespace. Your information is used to support delivery of personalized services of your choosing. We also use this information to contact you with information pertaining to services you have selected.
Squarespace and Substack store personal information on your and our behalf in their secure environment. Squarespace and Substack are both American companies and this does mean that information you give us may be transferred outside your region.
If you have chosen to be kept informed about service offerings we may also use your information to contact you via email with details of service offerings we believe will be of interest to you. You can change your preferences with respect to email marketing at any time.
When you make purchases we are also required to collect data that supports payment processing which may include credit card details, billing address, telephone number and any other information required by our payment processor in support of a successful transaction. We may disclose personal, contact, and payment information to our payment processor as required to fulfill transactions for online course enrollment.
We may collect, use, or disclose personal information without your knowledge in the following circumstances:
When the collection, use, or disclosure is required by law
When you have violated the terms of this policy or our Terms of Service
In an emergency that threatens an individual's life, health or personal security
When the personal information is available from a public source
When we require legal advice from a lawyer
For the purposes of collecting a debt
For the purpose of fraud protection
During the investigation of a suspected or anticipated breach of an agreement or contravention of the law
We will never sell your information under any circumstance.
2. What should I know about consent?
As part of our sign-up process you will be asked to indicate your consent for our collection, use, disclosure, and storage of personal information by agreeing to this policy. If you do not consent to the collection of personal information do not complete the sign-up process.
By signing-up with Analyte Projects Ltd and submitting your consent you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state, territory, country or province of residence as may apply. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at info@analyte.ca.
Express consent for email marketing is collected through an opt-in workflow supported by Squarespace. If you do not consent to email marketing, do not complete the opt-in workflow. Email marketing preferences can be changed at any time.
Express consent for content by email is collected through an opt-in workflow supported by Substack. If you do not consent to receive content by email, do not complete the opt-in workflow. Content preferences can be changed at any time.
You may withdraw your consent for our collection, use, disclosure, and storage of your personal information at any time. Note that withdrawal of this consent may prevent our delivery of services and/or continued access to content and updates. 3. What safeguards protect my information?
Analyte Projects Ltd, and our third-party service providers take great care to safeguard your information. Collectively, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, inadvertent and unauthorized disclosure, alteration or destruction of your personal information.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
4. What should I know about tracking?
Third-party service providers may use Web Beacons to track who opened emails and clicked links to measure campaign performance. This information may be aggregated and provided for our use in the design and implementation of future campaigns.
5. How long will you retain my information?
We will retain your information as long as is required to provide your selected services. Part of our content subscription may include lifetime access to content, templates and resources. Your account will be retained indefinitely if such services have been provided, unless you should choose to close it. You should understand that closing your account forfeits your lifetime access to applicable content.
If you have created an account but have never engaged with our services your account will remain active for a period of 12 months from the last date of access. After 12 months you will receive notification from us asking you to reconfirm your subscription and account.
If your information is disclosed to a third party in support of your service experience their records are governed by their own retention policies. Analyte Projects Ltd does not have the ability to control data handling or processing after disclosure. Make yourself familiar with our third-party partner Privacy Policies as below:
We regularly review our third parties for compliance with Canadian and international privacy regulations.
6. My personal information is not accurate. How can I change it?
We rely on you to submit accurate personal information and to manage this personal information using your account features. In the event of personal information that is inaccurate and uneditable please contact us at info@analyte.ca so that we may support you further.
All personal information is always available for you to reference in your profile.
7. Who can I contact if I am concerned about my personal information?
We would be happy to hear any concerns you may have at any time. Please contact us at info@analyte.ca and our Privacy Officer will respond. In the event that our response is unsatisfactory you may also contact the Information and Privacy Commissioner of British Columbia.
8. Will I be aware if this policy changes?
We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time to ensure the privacy of our Clients is always addressed through implementation of best practices. In the event that this policy changes you will be notified of the change. The current version of the policy can always be verified by the version and date.
